Firefox 3.5 - now available

The next version of one of the best browser is finally released. Though available as beta versions and release canditates for a quite a long time, Mozilla finally decided to ship the final version yesterday. As expected, the new version ships with a number of new features and many of the existing features fine tuned. Mozilla claims that Firefox 3.5 is more than 2 times faster than Firefox 3 and more than 11 times faster than Firefox 2.0. While those figures aren't going to be true for all the websites, the new browser definitely seems to be very fast in most cases. Other notable feature include, high-performance TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, an improved Gecko layout engine, location aware browsing, support for HTML5 and many more. An important new feature worth mentioning is the "Private Browsing" mode, which when turned on, Firefox will not retain any data about which sites and pages you have visited. Hit on the read link for the official page to download and test drive the new browser.
