Amazon launches next version of it's e-reader - Kindle DX

For those of you who are unaware, Amazon Kindle is a software and hardware platform for reading electronic books (e-books), developed by Amazon.com and was first released in the United States on November 19, 2007. Upon it's initial launch, this cool device had 88,000 digital titles and now after almost 18 months there are 275,000 titles available for download. After the initial success, Amazon released Kindle 2 on February 9, 2009 which had a bigger display, longer battery life, slimmer and faster than the original Kindle. And now after 15 months, Amazon finally announce it's next version of it's popular e-reader, Kindle DX. The latest version has a 9.7-inch display and can display 16 shades of grey, with a 1200x824 pixel resolution. Other features include an auto-rotating screen, built-in PDF Reader, 3G wireless, long Battery Life and more. According to the site, Kindle DX will be released this summer and is now available for pre-order. The new device looks incredibly sleek and very promising with a lot of new features. The only downside seems to be the $489 price tag it carries. Hit on the read link for the official page on Amazon.com for more details.
